Healthy Upma


Ingredients:

  • 1cup White Millet (Jowar Flour)/ (Sorghum)
  • 1tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2tsp Olive oil
  • 1/4tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 5-6 Curry Leaves finely chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Semolina  (Rava)
  • 1 Onion Finely chopped
  • 1/2Cup Fresh Peas Boiled
  • 2 Green Chilli Finely Chopped
  • 2tbsp Coriander Finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon Juice to taste
  • 3 Cup Hot Water 

Method:

  1. Heat the oil in deep pan, when hot add Mustard seeds, when crackle add asafoetida and curry leaves and sauté on medium flame for 1min.
  2. Add onions and green chilli and sauté for 2mins, now add semolina n sauté for another 2to 3 mins.
  3. To that add Jowar Flour n mix well n sauté for 3more mins.
  4. Add green Peas, Coriander, Salt, Lemon juice n mix well.
  5. Now add hot water, mix n cook on medium flame, while stirring continuously.
  6. Serve hot immediately.
