Ragi Upma
Ingredients:
- 1cup Ragi Flour ( Red millet)
- 1/2 cup semolina( Rava )
- 2tsp Olive oil
- 1tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1pinch Asafoetida
- 3-4 Curry Leaves finely chopped
- 2-3 Green Chilli Finely Chopped
- 1 medium Onion Finely chopped
- 1/2 Cup Carrot Grated
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup coriander finely chopped
- Hot Water 4cups or as required
Method:
- Dry roast ragi flour n semolina in a broad non-stick pan on medium flame for 3-4mins or until light brown in colour, while stirring continuously. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a deep pan, when hot add Mustard seeds, when crackle add asafoetida, curry leaves, green chilli n onions and sauté on medium flame for 1min.
- Now add grated Carrots n sauté for 1 more min.
- Add roasted ragi n rava n salt n sauté on medium flame for 1 to 2 mins.
- Now add hot water n cook on sloe flame until water evaporates, while stirring continuously.
- Add chopped coriander, mix well n cover n keep aside for 2 to 3 mins.
- Serve hot immediately.
