Quick Dry Dal Methi


Ingredients:

  • 1Cup Toor dal ( soaked for 2hours in 2cups of water)
  • 2 cloves of garlic grated
  • 1cup Fenugreek/methi Leaves chopped roughly
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 slits of Green Chilli’s
  • 2-4 curry leaves chopped
  • 1tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1tsp Olive oil 

Method:

  1. Boil the dal in deep pan with its water on medium to high flame, until dal is cooked just right (when u press the dal between your fingers n it should be cooked 90%) n keep aside.
  2. Heat up a deep pan add oil, when hot add Mustard seeds n cumin seeds, let them crackle. To that add grated garlic, curry leaves n green chills n sauté for 2mins.
  3. Now add methi leaves n mix well. To that add turmeric, garam masala n salt n mix well.
  4. Now add dal with the water n cook on low flame with lid until dal is cooked n water evaporates.
  5. Serve hot immediately.
