Quick Dry Dal Methi
Ingredients:
- 1Cup Toor dal ( soaked for 2hours in 2cups of water)
- 2 cloves of garlic grated
- 1cup Fenugreek/methi Leaves chopped roughly
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 slits of Green Chilli’s
- 2-4 curry leaves chopped
- 1tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1tsp Olive oil
Method:
- Boil the dal in deep pan with its water on medium to high flame, until dal is cooked just right (when u press the dal between your fingers n it should be cooked 90%) n keep aside.
- Heat up a deep pan add oil, when hot add Mustard seeds n cumin seeds, let them crackle. To that add grated garlic, curry leaves n green chills n sauté for 2mins.
- Now add methi leaves n mix well. To that add turmeric, garam masala n salt n mix well.
- Now add dal with the water n cook on low flame with lid until dal is cooked n water evaporates.
- Serve hot immediately.
