Ingredients:
- 1.1/2 cup split urad dal
- 1/2cup channa dal
- 2 tbsp chopped ginger
- 2 tbsp chopped garlic
- 4 tbsp ghee/ oil
- 3 chopped onions
- 6 chopped green chillies
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- water as required
- 1 tbsp coriander chopped
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 tablespoon Garam Masala
- Salt to taste
Method:
1. Soak lentils in water for 1 hour, drain.2. Heat a liter of water, add lentils, ginger garlic paste and ghee, cover and cook until soft.
3. Now mash the lentils.
4. Heat ghee in a frying pan, add onions and cook till onions get translucent to that add red chilli powder and stir, adding remaining ginger and garlic and cook for two minutes.
5. Stir in chopped green chillies and tomatoes and pour over lentils and cook on low heat for 5 minutes, adding some Butter while serving and chopped coriander.
Serve Hot.
