Ingredients:
- 2 cups Gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 cup Onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp tamarind pulp
- 2 Cloves Garlic, finely chopped
- 1” Ginger
- 3-4 Green chillies
- 3 tbsp Coriander leaves
- 4-5 Curry Leaves
- 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 4 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
- 1/2cup Fresh Coconut
- 1/2tsp toasted Sesame seeds
- 3cups Water or as required
- Jaggery to taste
Method:
1.
Take a
blender add coconut, garlic, ginger, green chilli, ½ part of coriander and
blend into paste adding required quantity of water and keep aside.

Heat
oil in a kadhai and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, when they pop add curry
leaves and onions, adding the paste and sauté for 2-3mins or until onion is
cooked.
3.
Now add
Salt, tamarind, jiggery, turmeric and mix well.
4.
Now
take 2tbsp of Basan and mix with 1/2cup of water into smooth paste and keep
aside( see that no lumps)
5.
Now add
water and bring it to boil, once bubble starts add the mixture of Basan paste
and mix will, after few mins add the remaining dry basan and stir well without
any lumps, cover and cook until raw smell of the basan disappear and once you
get nice fragrant.
Garnish with
coriander leaves and toasted Sesame Seeds.
Serve Hot.
